Buzz & Nest: A Hands-On Habitat Workshop for Young Eco-Champions. (ages 12–16)
Get ready to connect with nature in this creative and inspiring workshop! Across two engaging 45-minute sessions, you will:
🐝 Build a Bee Hotel – Join Stella and Teesha to learn about native bees and craft a cozy home they’ll love.
🐦 Explore Bird Nest Boxes – With Django and Esther, take a tour using real-time nest box cameras and discover how to support local birdlife in your community.
Whether you're into DIY, wildlife, or just want to make a difference, this workshop will give you the tools (literally!) to help protect pollinators and birds in your own backyard.
This event will be run by 4 of the youth Mentors of the Youth Environment Council of SA, with support from Green Adelaide staff.
Suitable for ages 11-16, a parent or guardian will need to attend to supervise. Supervising parent/guardian will need to order a ticket with any young person's ticket.
We will supply binoculars, identification charts and pens. You will need to bring appropriate footwear, clothing, water, food and anything else necessary.
