A cuppa, a museum update, and conversations about the days of long ago and not so long ago followed by a sausage sizzle.

Please come and join us at the Bega Pioneers’ Museum at 10am on Saturday 22 February 2025 for a cuppa on arrival, a museum update followed by conversations with two well-known descendants of pioneering families of the Valley - Robert Russell and Peter Ubrihien. Robert is a Russell-Gowing descendant and will enlighten us with some stories about his amazing ancestor, Daniel Gowing and the picturesque Jellat property that Robert, as a 5th generation Gowing descendant, occupies and farms today. And Peter Ubrihien an iconic personality of the Valley and raconteur who will entertain us with his many stories of life in the Valley – his knowledge and enthusiasm for life will be fully on display. Afterwards a sausage sizzle and some good conversation.
