BYO Proms: The Power of Song.

Join us for a very special celebration of music, community and the power of song at this year’s BYO Proms!

Our flagship Bellingen Youth Orchestra will join forces with the wonderful Bowraville Singers, Akabella and other community singers for a spectacular musical collaboration featuring Karl Jenkins’ Adiemus and Benedictus. Blending orchestral music with the human voice, Adiemus is a captivating and uplifting work that draws on the power of rhythm, melody and wordless vocals to create a sound that is both ancient and contemporary, familiar yet wonderfully unexpected.

Our advanced senior string ensemble, Sinfonia, will bring the drama and elegance of Karl Jenkins’ Palladio to the stage, alongside a selection of audience favourites. Adding to the excitement, our talented young musicians from the BYO Cygnet Orchestra will join the flagship orchestra at various points throughout the performance, celebrating the next generation of musicians and the pathways that make BYO so special.

The Power of Song promises to be a unique and uplifting musical experience, bringing together orchestral brilliance, beautiful voices and the spirit of our local community. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the year, share the joy of making music together and finish on a high note!
