Celebrate the last night of 2026 the Byron way: headphones on, toes in the grass, and the ocean breeze at your back. The Byron Bay Silent Disco is back for New Year's Eve as part of the Soul Street community celebrations, with two sessions so everyone can celebrate their way.

🌅 Family Fun Sunset Session | 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Best for: families, kids, grandparents anyone who wants a fun-filled evening.

Kick off New Year's Eve as the sun goes down over Byron. This session is all about family fun. Little dancers and big kids can boogie side by side, and parents can belt out their favourite 80s anthems while the kids pick their own tunes. find your spot on the grass and spend the last evening of the year dancing together as a family.

🎆 Party Goers Session | 10:00pm – 2:00am

Best for: anyone who wants to party late into the night and dance through the countdown.

The Party Goers Session is for those ready to dance hard, sing loud and ring in 2027 with their headphones on and their arms in the air. Count down to midnight with the whole beach, then keep the party going until 3am.

How it works

When you arrive, you'll get your own wireless silent disco headset. Pop it on and you're in. Each headset lights up to show which channel you're on, so you can see who's dancing to the same tunes as you.

• 3 live music channels. Switch between them any time with the flick of a button.

• Something for everyone: 80s, 90s, all-time classics and your requests.

• Requests welcome. Got a song that has to be played on New Year's Eve? Let our DJs know.

Freedom to roam 🌊

Every headset has up to 500 metres of range. Dance on the grass, head down to the sand, hang out with your friends by the beach. The music goes wherever you go.

To make that work, we take a deposit on each headset when you collect it, usually your ID or a cash deposit. Bring the headset back at the end of the night and you get your ID or deposit straight back. (500 metres of range, not 500KM. The headsets don't go home with you.)

Who's invited?

Everyone! There's no age limit. Silent disco is fun for all ages, from toddlers to grandparents. With multiple channels and requests, every person in your group can find their own vibe while still partying together.

Why a silent disco?

• Everyone picks their own music. Mum's on 80s, the kids are on 90s, everyone's happy.

• Roam anywhere. 500 metres of range means the beach, the grass, wherever you like. Just bring the headphones back.

• Family-friendly. Want to chat? Slide a headset off.

• Free entertainment. Take your headset off for a minute and listen to a park full of people singing different songs at the top of their lungs, with no music. Best show in town.

Good to know

• Headsets are limited, so book early to secure yours.

• Book the right session: Family Fun Sunset (6–10pm) or Party Goers (10pm–2am).

• Headset deposit: please have your ID or a cash deposit ready when you collect your headset. It's returned to you when you hand your headset back.

• What to bring: a warm layer for the late session.

• Refund policy: you'll get a full refund if you cancel at least one week before the event. If the event is cancelled for any unexpected reason, we'll refund your ticket.
