Presentation: The Million Jobs Plan is the framework to restore our economy. Beyond Zero Emissions has mapped out how we can rebuild our nation through practical projects that can restore our economy, modernise our industry, reskill our workforce and deliver a bright and secure economic future.

The Million Jobs Plan was developed by expert researchers at BZE, in collaboration with communities across Australia and an advisory committee made up of world-leading experts in economics, business, technology and climate science. They are presenting it to Industry and Parliament. The multitude of jobs in clean energy and low emissions industries are brought to life through case studies and ideas from their Zero Carbon Communities and Business and Industry Partners.

Speaker: Michael Lord recently rejoined BZE to lead the research for the Million Jobs Plan. When he was BZE’s Head of Research he was lead author of Rethinking Cement, The 10 Gigawatt Vision: How renewable energy can power jobs and investment in the Northern Territory, and Electrifying Industry  a report showing the potential for renewable electricity to replace fossil fuels in industrial heat processes. Before BZE Michael worked for an environmental consultancy, where he advised local governments and the private sector on reducing emissions and managing climate risk.

We hope you are able to join us for the webinar.

    Regards,
Chris Moss, Rob Gardner, Michele Ryan, Rick Molloy and Peter Wonfor.
