Konnect FEST brings together professionals from various sectors including NDIS, Aged Care, Mental Health, Youth Services, Justice, Childcare, and more. At the upcoming Caboolture Konnect FEST, we will be engaging in a fun and interactive Mindful Mental Health activity that combines the soothing practices of gardening and painting. This creative experience is designed to promote mental well-being, helping participants relax, connect with nature, and express themselves through art. Join us for a refreshing and mindful session where we nurture both plants and mental health together!

"KonnectFEST: Celebrating Inclusivity and the Pink-Haired Lady Behind It"

Allow me to introduce myself as the pink-haired lady behind the vibrant and transformative events of KonnectFEST. With my love for all things pink, including my bright and vibrant hair, I bring a unique spark to the disability sector and the NDIS komunity. With over 20 years of experience in the community and disability sector, my passion for supporting and empowering individuals has always been at the forefront of my journey.

Being a mother to my autistic and ADHD son has been a profound learning experience. He has taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, determination, and the beauty of embracing neurodiversity. His journey has inspired me to advocate for everyone and create an inclusive space where everyone is valued and celebrated. Recently, I received a diagnosis of ADHD myself, which has deepened my understanding and empathy for the neurodivergent community.

Known affectionately as the Pink-Haired Networker in the NDIS Komunity, I am Karen, the CEO of KonnectFEST. My vibrant appearance reflects my personality and my commitment to creating vibrant and transformative experiences for all participants. With a strong belief in the power of konnection and collaboration, I strive to bring people together, build genuine konnections, and create a supportive and non-competitive environment.

KonnectFEST is a thriving and dynamic Kommunity that started in 2021. Its growth and success stem from the shared vision of konnecting NDIS providers and participants in a supportive and meaningful way. This event represents a celebration of positivity, inclusivity, and the power of human konnection. It provides a space for individuals to be their authentic selves, share experiences, and learn from each other.

KonnectFEST is not just an event; it is a movement. Its aim is to foster a non-competitive mindset and inspire collaboration in the NDIS Kommunity. By creating opportunities for providers and participants to connect and share resources, KonnectFEST encourages a supportive culture that enhances the quality of support and services available. It is a platform for sharing knowledge, showcasing talents, and fostering personal and professional growth.

As a mother who has experienced the challenges of navigating the NDIS system firsthand, I understand the importance of finding the right support for loved ones. KonnectFEST Expo’s was born out of the desire to help families and providers connect with the right people to support their loved ones effectively. By bringing together NDIS providers and participants, KonnectFEST facilitates meaningful connections that can lead to improved experiences and outcomes.
