CACAO ACTIVATION

Chocolate lovers, UNITE! Gather for a full day of all things cacao and chocolate. From the ceremonial side to the messy cacao face-masks and scrumptious chocolate bars, your hearts and bellies will be full of the good stuff and you may even have some goodies to take home (if you don't eat all the chocolate straight away!)

This activation will take place at a beautiful private property in Judgeford, Pauatahanui. We'll start with a cacao ceremony to ground and connect with each other and the spirit of cacao. Then, we'll explore the truth of pacific cacao and I'll share some of my stories and photos from being on the ground in the Solomon Islands. We'll discuss all the ways to use cacao and the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health properties of the different products. At midday, we'll break for a plant-based lunch. In the afternoon, we get hands-on; we'll roast, peel and grind our own cacao beans to create face masks and cacao husk tea. You'll also get to make and decorate your own chocolate bars to take home.

This is a "come-as-you-are" event - all you have to do is show up and be ready to play...a beautiful opportunity to unleash the child within. More information will be sent to you the week of the event.

About your host

Jenna Joan first worked with cacao in Costa Rica in 2019 amidst the tropical trees of the Dominical province. Since this time, cacao has been a part of her daily ritual. As a chef, Jenna began creating different blends of cacao for her friends which became so popular she began trying to find a sustainable source of cacao beans that aligned with her values to make it from scratch. Cue: Pacific cacao, specifically Solomon Islands cacao. In 2021, Jenna connected with The Cacao Ambassador who works directly with communities across the pacific with the aim to support and lift the quality of life in these areas, as well as to educate and share knowledge throughout these communities. Selling to boutique chocolate makers rather than the bulk market (stock exchange prices), farmers get a much better price for their cacao and they are also incentivised to deliver QUALITY. All cacao and related products that we'll use during our ACTIVATION is organic and ethically sourced.

Jenna founded Casa Cacao in 2022, making and selling pre-alchemised ceremonial cacao and is now branching into chocolate, tea, and self-care products. In August-September of 2023, she was on the ground in the Solomon Islands connecting with the communities who farm, process and package the cacao beans that land in NZ for her to alchemise.

Jenna is also a qualified yoga and meditation teacher and has facilitated many plant-medicine ceremonies, breathwork and sound healing events. Jenna also works as a private 1:1 Heart Space coach, using many holistic healing and psychology-based modalities. You will be in safe and loving hands. Expect a super fun day that also feels very nourishing and healing.
