Event description

Years ago, the Goddess spirit of cacao, Ixchel, touched my heart and changed my life, and called me to spread Her message. And so here we are....

For two nights and three days under the Spring sky in Bucketty, a small group of us will gather to commune with the Cacao Goddess as we learn not just how to brew sacred chocolate, but how to hold space and create a safe container for our work with ritual and ceremony. The purpose? To ground you in the ways of cacao brewing, yes, but also to show you how you can increase your income by adding cacao to your existing offerings, or by creating new cacao-centred offerings. Yup, I'm not afraid to talk money because it's really OK to do this work and be paid well for our expertise and our heart!

We will learn by listening, doing and experiencing, and will be taught face-to-face as well as receiving accompanying notes and references. I will teach you the essentials which I have learned from 2 years study with The School of Shamanic Womancraft, 5 years apprenticing with another powerful Master Plant Teacher, over 10 years doing shamanic work, and over 20 years facilitating groups.

We will learn how to create a safe and held container in which to work, & I will share with you some of my own personal offerings such as The Seeding Ritual (menarche & seeding healing ritual), how to run a Blessingway & how to facilitate a drum journey. We will also experience ecstatic dance, breathwork & "circle" whilst working directly with cacao by brewing several batches to work with.

I have been working with cacao for years, and have seen how it can enhance many of the offerings we make to the world. I currently use it to bring people out of their critical minds and into their expansive heartspace before self pleasure circles! The possibilities are endless, and you will go home having at least tossed around a few different ideas for how you could start using cacao to earn a living. Then once you are home and have integrated, I will give you 1 or 2 hours of 1-1 business mentorship using zoom or similar. This will allow us to work with cacao and your specific offerings to the world.

As well as sharing the above mentioned elements with you, I will also provide you with one 500gram bag of ceremonial grade cacao that you can then use to generate upward of $500 depending what you do with it. Essentially that means that you can generate funds to help cover the cost of this retreat!

I do not believe in "the cult of the expert" and I believe that with some solid, grounded guidance, you too can use cacao to enhance your offerings to the world. Not sure what to do yet? Well come along and let me and others inspire you. You will leave with clear instructions for how to run a few offerings to get you started. You will also have the opportunity to practice brewing and take on elements of a communal offering, just to get you started.

Investment:

Cost including accomodation, food, the teachings and a bag of cacao is $799.00-$899.00. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to reserve your place, with the balance being paid either at the event or using an agreed payment plan - speak directly with me if a payment plan is required. REMEMBER you can use the cacao I give you to earn back a decent chunk of the training cost!

It is essential that you remain on-site for the entirety of the retreat, so please ensure you are able to arrive on time (9-10am Friday and depart no later than 3pm on Sunday). And you are also required to bring your own lunch for the Friday only. Saturday and Sunday lunch will be provided (as will other meals as outlined below).

The venue is in a retreat centre in Bucketty, accessible by a dirt road - 4WD is NOT required. Car pooling will be encouraged.

What to bring, location specifics and other things like that will be outlined once you pay your $300 deposit. If you have any questions, please reach out and give Gypsy a call directly on 0406 502 715

Note well: This event is designed for people with no experience, as well as people already doing this kind of work in the world. Everyone will have something to bring to the group, just by being present, so please don't be nervous if this is all new to you. We are all teachers and we are all students!

About Gypsy Artemis......

Gypsy has a deep interest in edgy work, with subjects others might ordinarily shy away from. For example, she ran the hugely successful and life changing event, Shameless! fully naked dinner for women, to work and heal body shame, and has worked with death, abortion and menstruation.

Over the last few years Gypsy has gone from "not doing naked" to being a live yoni (vagina) model to being a freely-naked woman in the world, happily taking part in self-pleasure circles with 70+ people! It's been quite the transformation & she wants that sense of freedom for other women too- even if it's a different version of how she takes her own freedom & power into the world.

Gypsy was called to work in the shamanic realms even before she realised what "shamanic" was back in London in the early 90's. She later embarked on formal study with the School of Shamanic Womancraft and in around 2014 began a 5 year long apprenticeship working with a powerful Master Plant Teacher from the Amazon Jungle. Her call to work with cacao came shortly thereafter.

It is Gypsy's wish to impart her knowledge and experience with cacao with others so as to "share the love", believing that this powerful Teacher has the capacity to change the world, one heart at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Why use cacao?

A: Ceremonial grade cacao used at ceremonial doses helps us get out of our head and into our heart and is referred to as "medicine". Cacao is NOT hallucinogenic and some people report it makes their heart feel "warm & open". Working with cacao provides a subtle in-roads to the heart, enabling us to let go of our critical mind and to be in the spaciousness of our hearts where we naturally reside before our mind gets involved!

Q: Is the event catered?

A: Yes, the event will be catered, providing simple yet nourishing vegetarian and meat options EXCEPT FOR FRIDAY LUNCH - pls BYO this. Dietary needs can be catered to - please reach out to discuss if you have specific needs. We will provide breakfast, lunch (Sat and Sun) and dinner, plus a light morning and afternoonn tea. In addition, we will drink cacao once daily also.

Q: Can I pay using a payment plan?

A: Once your $300 deposit is paid, you can work with Gypsy to agree on a payment plan.

Q: Can I pay by EFT or cash to avoid Eventbrite fees?

A: Yes you can - just call Gypsy on 0406 502 715 to make a plan.

Q: I already run circle and do this type of work in the world. Will I still learn something?

A: I believe that yes, you will still learn a lot! Besides learning how to brew, you may learn new ways of working, including rituals I myself created and will share with you. You will also have an opportunity to explore new offerings and also receive the 1 hour of business mentorship which will meet you where you are specifically at.

Q: I have never done anything like this before (and may be nervous!). Is that ok?

A: The content and delivery will meet you where you are at. If you want to sit back and just observe, that's ok. But if you would like to jump in and get hands-on experience, that's fine too! There will be something for everyone. And if you get "stuck" anywhere, there's always the 1-1 mentorship element to address your specific needs further after the event.

Q: What should I bring?

A: I suggest you bring clothes that you feel beautiful in. You don't need to buy anything special, but if you are open to it, bring something that makes you feel like a priestess/priest (shamanic, non religious use of the word) so that you can really feel what it's like when you dress for the role. Also as cacao is a medicine of love, bring clothes and items that you feel bring love into your heart and surrounds. There will be other items to bring but I'll list them in the confirmation email. Note: single mattresses will be provided for everyone - you just need to bring bedding.

Please BYO lunch for the Friday only - the rest is catered.

Q: Is the venue accessible by public transport.

A: No. If you need a lift let us know & we will try to arrange a car pooling situation for you.

Q: Will EFTPOS be available on site?

A: No due to limited mobile coverage.

Q: Will cacao be available for purchase?

A: Yes, at $75 a 450gm bag

Q: Can I stay on-site the night before or on the Sunday?

A: Yes, as a cost of $35 per person per night, payable direct to the venue on arrival. Just let Gypsy know your needs shortly after you book.

Q: What if I still have questions or am unsure?

A: Give us a call!
