Cacti Garden Sewing Crafternoon

Sew fun for kids! is a place to learn all about sewing while making fun projects that you can take home and treasure.

In this fun school holiday workshop you will learn how to craft a beautiful cacti garden pot. We will use a mixture of machine and hand sewing techniques to create a range of cactus shapes. 

This workshop is suitable for boys and girls aged 7 and up. All fabrics and accessories will be provided, including the pot.

You will learn how to:

- use a sewing machine to sew straight lines and curves

- create a gathering stitch with a needle and thread to create a ball shape

- make a range of cactus and flower shapes.

You will take home your amazing cacti garden at the end of the workshop.

You might like to bring along a snack and a water bottle. Please do not include any food items that contain nuts or traces of nuts.

Sew fun for kids! accepts Service NSW Creative Kids vouchers. If you would like to use a voucher, select the Creative Kids voucher ticket. The ticket price will be reduced to to reflect the use of the $50 voucher. You will also be required to enter:

- the voucher number

- your child's name

- your child's date of birth.

All of these details are required for me to register your voucher.

A minimum of 4 children are required for the workshop to go ahead. This workshop has a maximum of 10 participants.


The workshops run from 1pm to 4pm at 4/31 Terminus St, Castle Hill. Our studio has an internal toilet so children do not need to leave the studio during the day.

Please note, we are unable to provide a refund if a cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to the workshop as we will have purchased all of the fabrics and accessories for your child. In the event you are unable to attend we are very happy to provide you with the fabric kit and pattern instructions for you to pick up from the studio and create at home.
