IT'S COMPLICATED

Café Sci: The Traditional and What Lies Ahead
As long as humans have existed, we've sought to understand the complexities of our bodies and minds, from the influences of medicinal plants and foods to emerging digital technologies.

Join our two speakers to chat about the influence of wisdom we already possess, and the surprises of the learnings to come.

Dr Susan Semple, UniSA Clinical & Health Sciences, researches Australian medicinal and food plants in partnership with Australian Aboriginal communities, focusing on plants with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic activities.

+

Professor Carol Maher, UniSA Allied Health & Human Performance, is passionate about how technologies such as wearables, social networking, smartphone apps, and gamification can support better lifestyle choices.

Facilitated by Dr Lisa Bailey, Senior Exhibitions Manager, MOD.

Want more? Join a moderator-led tour of our exhibition IT’S COMPLICATED at 1:15 pm.
