Cake with a cause (and a little competition).

After last year's popularity, Cake O’Clock is back!

Join Fearless Women at Norgrove Park for an afternoon of cake, community, outdoor games and a little friendly competition, raising funds to support girls and young women in Canberra.

Bring a cake, bring a friend and share it around.

We’ll provide the plates, spoons and everything needed to share your creation, and there’ll be plenty of other cakes to try in return.

We’re also bringing along outdoor games for a proper picnic afternoon, so come ready to eat cake and stay awhile.

The (friendly) competition

Our guest judges will be looking for entries across a mix of experience levels and creative categories.

Experience levels
Rising Whisks: Junior bakers aged 16 and under
Fearless Flourists: Home bakers
Baking Bosses: Professional bakers
Bold Beginners: First-time bakers

Creative categories
Bake Outside the Box: for bold ideas, unexpected designs and originality.
Cake Couture: where cake meets style, detail and edible drama.
Femme and Fearless: celebrating courage, creativity and women through cake.
It’s Not Meant to Look Like This!: for the cakes that didn’t quite go to plan but absolutely deserve their moment.

Your cake will automatically be considered across the creative categories.

Bringing a cake?

When you register, tell us your experience level and whether you plan to bring a cake.

We’ll send cake entrants an ingredients list form before the event. Please complete it and bring it with your cake on the day so everyone can make informed choices about what they eat.

And because last year proved there really can be too much cake, we encourage you to bring a container so you can take a few favourites home afterwards.
