By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

• Understand the types and effects of common arrhythmias
• Have an approach to identifying arrhythmias
• Be able to manage the different types of rhythms with an awareness of various options including physical manoeuvres, chemical and electrical interventions
• Have their knowledge tested and consolidated through an interactive quiz
• Be competent (via hands on access to a simulated or real device) in the use of a defibrillator to pace, cardiovert and defibrillate a patient
