COURSE OUTLINE
By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Understand the types and effects of common arrhythmias
- Have an approach to identifying arrhythmias
- Be able to manage the different types of rhythms with an awareness of various options including physical manoeuvres, chemical and electrical interventions
- Have their knowledge tested and consolidated through an interactive quiz
- Be competent (via hands on access to a simulated or real device) in the use of a defibrillator to pace, cardiovert and defibrillate a patient
