The program is funded by CALHN as part of the ACEM EMET Program. This event is free to attend. Catering is provided.
This event is for Medical staff only. Numbers are limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
Participants receive an attendance certificate for 3 hours of CPD.
By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Understand the types and effects of common arrhythmias
- Have an approach to identifying arrhythmias
- Be able to manage the different types of rhythms with an awareness of various options including physical manoeuvres, chemical and electrical interventions.
- Have their knowledge tested and consolidated through an interactive quiz
- Be competent (via hands on access to a simulated or real device) in the use of a defibrillator to pace, cardiovert and defibrillate a patient.
