Calisthenics Hamilton Meetup & Train Session @ Hamilton Lake
Event description
What is Calisthenics?
Calisthenics comes from the Greek words kallos (beauty) and sthenos (strength) — it’s about developing aesthetic, functional strength through bodyweight movement.
In simple words: we’re here to develop body awareness, body control, and body mastery.
If you’re interested, come hang out, train, and connect with fellow calisthenics enthusiasts in Hamilton! Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned athlete, everyone is welcome.
There’s no fixed program — train at your own pace, work on your skills, or get feedback and tips from more experienced athletes.
Our main intention is to create a space where people can learn, share, support each other, and grow at their own pace on the journey toward body mastery.
Why so early? Train with the sunrise — there's something magical about starting your day with a solid workout while the sun rises over Hamilton Lake.
What skills can you train?
Pull-Ups (standard, archer, wide), Push-Ups (diamond, archer, explosive), Dips (on bars or rings), Muscle-Ups (bar or rings), Handstands (against the wall or freestanding), L-Sit (Tuck Sit), Plank (Hollow Body Hold), Front Lever (Progressions), Back Lever (Progressions), Human Flag (progressions & holds), Pistol Squats (single-leg squats), Dragon Flags (Core Work), Skin the Cat (great for shoulder mobility and strength), Bar Spins (Swing Skills), and Dynamic Moves (like bar pops, 180s, muscle-up transitions).
