Course Details

·         8-week course 1.5 hrs weekly live (face to face and/or virtual and on-demand online course

·         Learn to incorporate mindfulness techniques into daily life

·         Includes resources, references, and handouts

Learning Outcomes

·         Describe how mindfulness generates awareness, reduces stress, and assists with pain.

·         Demonstrate mindfulness and meditation practices.

·         Implement mindfulness for health outcomes.

·         Measure impact using evidence based Beyond Blue Anxiety and Depression Test (K10), and/or Human Factors ‘Am I Stress?’, self-reflection questionnaires.

·         Determine situations for mindfulness to reduce burnout and anxiety.

Class Time: 10am -11:30 AM

Class 1: Sunday 12 October - Calm Abiding Meditation introduction & body scan, learn to poise.
Class 2: Sunday 19 - Qualified rounds of breath
Class 3: Saturday 25 October - Wisdom of Speech
Class 4: Sunday 2 November - Super-qualified rounds of breath
Class 5: Sunday 9 November - Super- qualified rounds of breath + counting to enhance alertness
                              & concentration. Learn to sit longer in equanimity
Class 6: Sunday 16 November - Obstacles & Antidotes
Class 7: Sunday 23 November - Training the Elephant Mind
Class 8: Saturday: 29 November - Where to Now?



*It is recommended to attend all eight sessions as it will provide you with a complete introduction to help you establish a daily meditation practice.
