Event description
Flutter is a vibrant, sculptural mobile inspired by the colour and movement of the region’s vivid parrot species commissioned for Caloundra Library+. The community is invited to contribute to the artwork and celebrate the natural beauty of the Sunshine Coast.
Join artist, Jade Oakley, in artist-led workshops to create paintings inspired by colourful parrot feathers. Using watercolour and coloured pencils Jade will work with community members of all ages and skill levels to explore the rich palette and dynamic energy of parrots.
The community artworks will be incorporated and re-imagined as a moving image artwork, projected beneath the sculpture, creating an immersive experience.
Children are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by a participating adult.
