Welcome to Camp Chermside - a place to learn, have fun and make friends!

Little Camper’s are invited to join Camp Chermside to undertake a fun line-up of activities that are sure to keep them entertained all school holidays!

Forget about hiking, instead, your Little Camper will love listening to campfire stories, getting up close and personal with Australian reptiles, building Lego creations, making friendship bracelets and more! Choose one session or choose them all - there is something for every Little Camper to enjoy.

Glow in the Dark Bubble Slime

Mon, 28 June - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Little Camper’s of all ages will have fun combining safe materials with an activating agent to create ooey-gooey, glow-in-the-dark slime. This neon slime experiment is all hubble and bubble with no toil and trouble, and it will have the little ones earning their Camp Chermside science badge.

Make your own Friendship Bracelet

Tue, 29 June - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Little Camper’s are invited to bring their buddies to create a bracelet that will bond their friendship forever. Through developing their creativity and working on companionship, they will start by choosing materials and then follow the Camp Leaders step-by-step instructions to make this special piece to take home and earn their friendship badge too!

Make your own Dreamcatcher

Wed, 30 June - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Tue, 6 July - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Little Camper’s will create their own dream catcher to hang above their beds, with a variety of feathers, twine and beads to help them get a good nights’ sleep after earning their creativity badge.

Thu, 1 July – 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm

Little Camper’s will have the opportunity to be hands-on, combining education and entertainment by building a cheerleading alien, then making it move using LEGO bricks and motors. Through this hands-on task, Little Camper’s will earn their building badge.

Make your own Glitter Slime

Fri, 2 July - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Little Camper’s will bring a little sparkle into their day with Camp Chermside’s glitter slime-making workshop. This experiment will help Little Camper’s look on the bright side of life while earning their badge in creativity.

Reptile Kingdom Experience

Sat, 3 July - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Sun, 4 July - 45-minute sessions at 11.00am, 12.00am and 1.00pm

Fri, 9 July - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Little Camper’s will add to their wilderness knowledge when they get up close and personal with some Australian reptiles, as they learn tips and tricks to stay safe out in the wild, earning their Camp Chermside wildlife badge.

Campfire Stories

Mon, 5 July - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Slow down, get comfy and get ready to listen to the Camp Leaders tales around the campfire. It sounds like the easiest Camp Chermside activity however, it’s the most important, teaching your Little Camper’s to take time out, listen and develop their imagination by earning their book club badge.

Make your own Galaxy Slime

Wed, 7 July - 45-minute sessions at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Little Camper’s will travel out of this world with Camp Chermside’s galaxy slime-making workshop. This classic science experiment will have the Little Camper’s using their imagination to create their very own mini solar system in a cup, earning their creativity badge.
