Camp for a Cure 2027
Description
Camp for a Cure is an annual camping and music festival held at Gootchie Creek Escape, just north of Gympie, Queensland. Bringing together live music, camping, family entertainment, markets, food vendors and an incredible community, it's a weekend built on connection, great experiences and supporting an important cause.
Founded by Alex and Erin Pickard, Camp for a Cure was created after both families were personally impacted by cancer. What began as a small grassroots event has grown into a unique community gathering that attracts people from across Australia who share a love of camping, live music and giving back.
Designed as a relaxed, family-friendly weekend, Camp for a Cure offers something for everyone. Guests can enjoy performances from some of Australia's best country, rock and folk artists, browse market stalls, enjoy great food, meet their favourite content creators and make lasting memories with family and friends in a beautiful rural setting.
Camp for a Cure is a ticketed event, with ticket sales used to deliver the festival experience, including the entertainment, infrastructure, facilities and services that make the event possible.
Throughout the weekend, attendees also have the opportunity to participate in a range of clearly identified, optional fundraising activities, including raffles, auctions, games and other fundraising initiatives. It is through these voluntary activities that funds are raised for Love Your Sister, helping support cancer research and those impacted by cancer.
Since launching in 2024, Camp for a Cure and its incredible community have raised more than $170,000 through these fundraising activities.
Whether you're coming for the music, the camping, the community or the opportunity to support a cause close to so many hearts, Camp for a Cure is more than just a festival—it's a weekend that brings people together and proves that when a community unites, it can make a genuine difference.
