Campaign Organising Meeting - Protect Our NDIS Canberra

Calling Canberra/Ngunnawal/Ngambri folks to a meeting to debrief our campaign against the NDIS cuts, to gather in solidarity and to talk about the next steps of our campaign.

Protect Our NDIS Canberra is a grassroots group of people with disabilities and supporters based in Canberra.

We have been fighting to stop the cuts to the NDIS, and campaigning for publicly funded disability supports available to everyone.

This meeting will be an opportunity for:

• A debrief on the campaign so far - and discussing what we've won (improved amendments to the bill, growing a grassroots community, increasing visibility)

• Talking what strategies have worked and what hasn't worked

• Checking in with each other about the impacts the new NDIS legislation has had on our access to support, and on our lives generally

• Discussing the ACT context and coming policy changes such as foundational supports

• Brainstorming strategies or directions we could take in the future (such as rallies or forums)

All are welcome - NDIS participants, people with disabilities, community and supporters.

If this is your first time coming to a campaign organising meeting, you are very welcome and we would love to have you!

We need to grow a huge movement to stop these cuts, and all perspectives are valuable.
