Canal boat trip - Panacea canal boat 12:20pm
Event description
We are pleased to bring back boat trips on Lochrin Belle and Panacea canal boats as a part of Edinburgh 900 events.
This trip leaves from Fountainbridge Green and cruises to Harrison Park and returns. The cruise is approximately 45 minutes. Light refreshments will be provided on a donation basis. Come and enjoy the canal from the water!
Toilet is available on board throughout the trip.
Booking essential. All persons over the age of 3 are required to purchase a ticket.
Your purchased ticket is only valid for the specific boat trip, date and time selected at booking. Unfortunately, it can't be used to join other trips.
Please note: For accessibility needs or if you're attending with a child under 3, bookings must be made for the Lochrin Belle canal boat, not Panacea canal boat.
These tickets are heavily subsidised thanks to support from City of Edinburgh Council’s Edinburgh 900 programme.
If you can’t make this event, why not check out the other Edinburgh 900 celebrations - https://edinburgh.org/900/

By purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
The boat will leave promptly from our mooring outside Boroughmuir High, near Viewforth and Bainfield Drive, and return to the same location. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start time. The boat will not wait for you if you are late.
Tickets are only valid on the time and boat you have booked.
Pre-booking essential. A ticket must be purchased for every child 3 years old and over and all adults attending. Babies and children under 3 are free, but please contact us before the event to ensure we have enough capacity.
We can cater for people reduced mobility - please see our website for details https://www.re- union.org.uk/home/faq/ and make sure to contact us in advance to make sure we are prepared.
If you are booking and require any assistance or if you will be bringing a child under 3, please email us in advance on info@re-union.org.uk or phone 07716 745978.
Refund policy: No refunds. Transfers to friends are permitted if we are notified 24h prior to the event.
Adverse Weather Conditions or Mechanical Boat Issues. Unfortunately the weather is outwith our control. If the Skipper feels it would be unwise to sail due to adverse weather conditions (e.g. gusts of over 40mph, or the boat being unable to move due to ice) or other safety concerns the event will run as a static event on the boat (not a cruise). No refunds will be given in this instance.
Photo permission. Photos may be taken at the event. If you do not wish to appear in any of them, please tell the photographer at the time the photos are taken.
If you need to contact us, our details are: info@re-union.org.uk or phone 07716 745978.

Our events on the Lochrin Belle canal boat aim to promote pride in our local community by showcasing the Union Canal in the centre of Edinburgh - inviting people to come and experience the water and the local area.
The events involve a cruise on the Lochrin Belle canal boat along the Union Canal to help diverse communities discover and explore this unique community asset in the heart of Edinburgh.
_______
Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust (FCCT) aims to make our local area a better place to live, work, do business and visit!
We love to work in partnership with others to create unique experiences and events at canalside venues and on board our canal boat, the Lochrin Belle. We believe this brings vibrancy to the canal and helps build a dynamic community.
Our current activities include: running boats on the canal for community use and as a social enterprise, a large volunteering programme, a Canalside Health Walk, part of the Paths for All network, a weekly Canalside greenspace group and the organisation of community events and the Edinburgh Canal Festival.
Generally we are interested in any opportunities that strengthen our community economically, environmentally or culturally, and promote social inclusion, sustainability and well-being.
Visit www.fcct.scot to find out more about us, take a look at upcoming events in the area and find out more about our projects. We are also on most social channels @fcctEdinburgh
