2024 Canberra Alumni & Friends Event

Please join us for an enlightening keynote address from the University of Newcastle's eighth Chancellor, The Hon. Patricia Forsythe AM who will share insights on her journey, vision, and commitment to leadership in education. Patricia Forsythe is an alumna of the University of Newcastle, former Australian High Commissioner to New Zealand, Cook Islands, and Niue, and was presented with a Key to the City of Newcastle in 2020. 

Additionally, we invite you to join Curators from the National Portrait Gallery as they take us on a tour of the 2024 Darling Portrait Prize and the 2024 National Photographic Portrait Prize. 

This event offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow alumni over drinks and canapes, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and hear from the University's newly invested Chancellor.
