Canberra Comedy Newcomer’s Showcase

Stand up Comedy for Beginners Course Performance Night

Come see 10 newcomers to stand up comedy perform their first 5-minute set before a live comedy audience at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre! Hosted by Canberra comedian Chris Ryan, the evening is the culmination of the students’ journey through a four-week course in stand up run by Chris in collaboration with the Tuggeranong Arts Centre. Previous course participants have gone on to perform locally and interstate, with some big names like Caitlyn Maggs, Suma Iyer, Trish Hurley going on to and perform on national televised RAW Comedy Galas at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, while former student Jacqui Richards won runner up in the 2023 national final. Tickets are free but limited so book now.
