Her Tech Circle is coming to Canberra for the very first time, and we couldn’t think of a better way to say hello than over coffee!
Join our co-founders and Co-Managing Directors, Renece and Karen (affectionately known as Mama Katz), for a relaxed morning of good conversation, great coffee and a pastry or two, all on us. Whether you’ve been in tech for decades, are just starting out, or are quietly wondering whether tech might be your next chapter, we’d love to meet you, hear your story and share a little of ours.
A bit about Her Tech Circle
Her Tech Circle is a 100% volunteer-led community supporting women at every stage of their tech careers, from entry to leadership. Women make up just 26% of Australia’s tech workforce, and around half of them leave the industry within three to four years. We think that’s unacceptable, and we’re doing something about it by:
Hosting events, panels and workshops that spark real conversations about career progression
Building a supportive, inclusive community where women feel valued, respected and empowered to thrive
Creating opportunities for connection, mentorship and professional growth
Celebrating the achievements of women in tech, loudly and often

- What to expect at Her Tech Circle events?
Coming alone? Perfect. Most of our attendees do! Our events are designed to make connection easy and comfortable, whether you're a seasoned networker or prefer to learn and observe.
Choose your own adventure with our connection style stickers as you enter. Simply grab your preferred sticker when you arrive and pop it on your name tag - it's a brilliant conversation starter and helps everyone respect each other's boundaries.

- Who are Her Tech Circle
We're a 100% volunteer-run organisation on a mission to reduce the attrition rate of women in the technology industry. Right now, 50% of women leave tech by age 35 - and we're not okay with that.
Our solution? Community. Through our values of intentional bravery, empowering together, and trust unconditionally, we create meaningful events and supportive spaces where women build the confidence and connections they need to not just stay in tech, but to thrive and build powerful, enduring careers.
