Canberra October Cause Club: Do Good IRL making snuggle hearts for NICU Cheer

Join us in Canberra for our October Cause Club! This month we're making snuggle hearts for families and babies in the NICU, in support of NICU Cheer.

The heart of it: We're taking the opportunity to try a new skill, or pick up an old one! Together, we'll sew snuggle hearts for families and babies staying in the NICU over holidays, so that the mum and baby can bond even when they're apart 💙

Heads up: You don't need to be a pro at sewing (or even have picked up a needle before). There'll be how-to guides and templates to work off of - and your fellow volunteers! The goal for this one isn't to make as many as we can, but to make great hearts that can be swapped between mum and bub.

Our group mission is to:

🪡 Sew pairs of snuggle hearts for parents and their newborn

🤝 Meet some new mates as you sew together

🧠 Learn more about NICU Cheer and how they support new families in hospital

The event will start at 2:00pm, so please try to arrive as close to then as possible. We don't want you to miss out!

About NICU Cheer: NICU Cheer was created after the founder, Maddie, gave birth to her premature son and wanted to be able to give to families the support they wished they could've received while in hospital.
