    Event description

Volunteering Australia is leading the development of a National Strategy for Volunteering, which will be designed and owned by the volunteering ecosystem and provide a blueprint for a reimagined future for volunteering in Australia.

Throughout September we are hosting workshops across the country to co-create a vision for the future of volunteering in Australia. The workshops will take a participatory design approach. You'll be asked to provide reflections on artefacts for the future that have been developed from what we heard during the Discovery Phase of the project. Following this, you'll build your future visions for volunteering and develop a roadmap to get us from now to tomorrow.

These workshops are designed for everyone. We want to hear from volunteers, Managers of Volunteers, community leaders, people who work in local, state, or federal Government, people who volunteer through their workplace, people who benefit from volunteering, and people who don't volunteer at all. We want our collective vision for volunteering to be representative of the diversity within our communities to ensure that we can work towards an inclusive future.

We recognise that everyone likes to participate differently. In addition to the in-person workshops, there will also be virtual workshops, and an online activity you can complete in your own time. If you are attending a face-to-face workshop and there's something we can do to make your experience more comfortable, please reach out and let us know.

We ask that you please only register for one workshop to ensure as many voices as possible can participate. We can only host a small number of face-to-face workshops so we ask that if you are unable to attend you let us know so we can make your spot available to someone on the waitlist.
