Join us for our November edition with a feature poet who is both an established, nationally recognised and renowned poet as well as being one to watch. Celebrating the release of their debut collection of poetry Arsenic Flower - we are very very excited to announce for you we have Dakota Feirer coming to town!

Dakota Feirer is a Bundjalung and Gumbaynggirr storyteller with his work published in Kill Your Darlings, Overland literary journal, Australian Poetry and more. 
His newly released, Arsenic Flower (2025), is a collection of poems and prose that explore Country, culture, resurgence and manhood.
Dakota believes in healing Country and our communities through art and storytelling.

Doors open at 6:30PM with open mic from 7:00PM

For those new to our community, a slam looks like …

🎤 A host whose job is to keep the party going and hopefully get you laughing and cheering

🎤 A round of open mic performances who get scored by "expert judges"
    who we *randomly* select from the audience, 
    with a winner announced at the end of the night,
    who takes home a modest prize. 

🎤 A lot of feelings, it's a privilege to hear someone share vulnerably.

We value community above all else. 

All are welcomed and encouraged to share their stories.

We come from all walks of life, contrasting ways of seeing the world.
