Help keep the Western Edge safe from bulldozers

Repeat walk by popular demand! A gentle climb through the Cooleman Ridge Nature Reserve takes us past ancient trees in thriving eucalyptus woodland to one of the most breath-taking, panoramic views in Canberra. Looking west, rural properties and grassy woodland roll towards the Murrumbidgee River and the triple-tiered backdrop of mountain ranges. This rural corridor is home to our iconic wildlife and gives Canberrans access to nature and recreation. It can’t be replaced.  But the ACT government is considering suburban sprawl that could let developers bulldoze the entire landscape from Kambah to Mount Stromlo. Find out what is proposed and help keep the Western Edge safe for our kids and grand kids.

After the walk, stay for a cup of tea, a biscuit and a chat with fellow participants about the campaign to save the Western Edge.
