Description

In May, Renew hosted ‘Sustainable House Day’, an annual event that provides the opportunity to explore some of Australia’s most inspiring green homes.

Join us for this webinar with Renew CEO Helen Oakey to discuss some of the key issues in the sustainable house space and see some of Canberra's best sustainable homes in profile. With building construction a major source of greenhouse gases and waste to landfill, and building costs skyrocketing, retrofitting energy efficiency measures into older homes and renovating existing buildings can make a big impact, both on the climate and on your hip pocket.

The Conservation Council ACT Region is the ACT region’s leading environmental advocacy organisation and hub for community groups. Our mission is to protect nature and create a safe climate future in the ACT and region.

Since 1981 we have been at the centre of the region’s most important wins for wildlife, bushland and communities, encompassing over 40 member groups.

We are a non-profit, non-government organisation that run campaigns, promote and upskill local groups, undertake research, advocate passionately, and engage and inform our community.

Our belief is in the power of collective action to create change.
