Paula Argy – A Journey of Courage, Resilience and Hope
Paula has been living with Parkinson's disease for more than 35 years. After first experiencing symptoms in her late teens, she has faced life's challenges with remarkable courage, determination, and an unwavering spirit.
In this heartfelt presentation, Paula shares her personal journey of living with Parkinson's while navigating pregnancy, raising her child as a single mother, and overcoming the stigma and misunderstanding she experienced in both her community and the workplace.
Like many people living with Parkinson's, Paula has experienced moments of loss, uncertainty, and frustration. Yet her story is also one of resilience, strength, and hope.
In 2020, everything changed. Paula gained access to an advanced Parkinson's therapy that transformed her life. Within weeks, she rediscovered the freedom she had long thought was lost. She regained her mobility, independence, and confidence, and once again found joy in walking, dancing, travelling, socialising, and embracing the moments that make life so meaningful.
Paula's is a powerful story not to be missed. walk, it does not define who we are. Her journey offers hope to others living with Parkinson's, encouragement to families and care partners, and inspiration to everyone who believes in the life-changing power of perseverance, community, and advances in treatment.
