Event description

Guided Cannabis & Drumming Workshop with Ecstatic Dance - Byron Bay

Synergistic Music and Plant Medicine

This is a private event. Bookings essential.

“Rhythmic sound and psychoactive plants are two of the oldest techniques for opening the doors of the mind. Combined, they create a shamanic space where boundaries dissolve, and one can connect with the deeper layers of the self and the cosmos.”

—Terence McKenna, Food of the Gods: The Search for the Original Tree of Knowledge

Elliott Orr is a master of the djembe, with 3 decades of facilitating trance through dance. Having taught well in excess of 30,000 people to enter the realm of rhythm, Elliott is excited to engage in this simultaneously new and ancient modality of integrating cannabis with drumming.

Paul Benhaim is founder of cannabis psychedelics, author of 15 books and has 28 years of global companies within the cannabis space.

Together, these two northern rivers experts bring to this community an experience never performed before: Cannabis Drum Medicine.

Using the deep trance-like states you will be transported to the realms of the Santa Maria or cannabis spirit for deep healing and medicine.

This is a three stage event.

We will begin with a little history of how rhythm and cannabis are used to access deeper states of consciousness. You will then be invited to first imbibe in your own medical marijuana before Elliott will guide you into playing an accessible and stimulating rhythm on the djembe.

In the second stage you will be led in ceremony by Cannabis Psychedelic facilitator, Paul. Elliott, joined by a co-facilitator on the doundouns, will support your dance journey by playing a powerful rhythm enabling you to move toward an ecstatic dance state.

In the final stage you will simply receive the rhythms of the drum and finish with guided meditation and silence for you to meet with the spirit of the cannabis plant so you may listen to what messages are there for you.
