    Event description

    We're making a splash and celebrating our 40th anniversary from the water with on our Canoe Adventure Day! 

    Join a FREE Guided Canoe Tour of Ironbark Creek and discover the history, flora and fauna of the Hunter Estuary. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the wetlands from the water. 

    We will also have other activities available on the day including:

    * Guided Walks, Talks and Games along the riverside.‍

    * Free Canoe Hire on Boatmans Creek for self-guided canoeing (no bookings required)

    Our Canoeing is open to all abilities and anyone over the age of 5. It's a great way for kids to learn how to canoe and kayak! Children under 10 must be in a canoe with an adult and all children under 16 must be supervised by an adult. Lifejackets are provided and must be worn at all times. 

    All canoeing is free on the day however site entry is still payable at our Visitors Centre Reception

    Guided Canoe Tour Bookings & Information 
    Canoeing is FREE all day but spots are limited. 

    * All canoe tours will be departing from the Rainforest Shelter (walk or get a lift in one of our buggies).

    * Canoe tours will be approximately 1 hour duration. 

    * There will be multiple tours available on the day. 

    Note: This event may be cancelled for safety reasons in case of weather (including high winds) make. We will endeavour to give prior notice where possible. Unfortunately this is a one-off event and will not be postponed or tickets redeemable for another date.
