Audition Times: Please select one of the times on the event. Time slots are 1.5 hours long and auditionees are expected to be there for the whole time.
Audition Location: The Isaac Theatre Royal, 45 Gloucester Street, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011
What should I expect?
You will attend a free 1.5 hour audition on September 22nd and 23rd with up to 14 other people aged thirteen to eighteen. This session is designed to be accessible for someone who's never auditioned before, and for those who want to learn new audition skills. This workshop will consist of: a forty minute group session, where you will learn about how to work as an ensemble; a short break; and forty-five minutes where each auditionee reads their prepared monologue.
What do I need to bring/prepare?
1) A monologue: We would like you to prepare one of the monologues found here. The are multiple options to choose from and are all pretty brief. Whilst being word perfect is not an expectation for this session we do expect you to have looked over the monologue thoroughly before the audition. This will allow us to see your style of performance in its best light. A note on casting: We are doing an open casting or otherwise known as a genderblind casting of this production. This means that an individual of any gender can be considered for any role.

2) Comfortable clothes: Please make sure you have clothes you can move comfortably in, as well as comfortable shoes e.g. trainers.
3) Water bottle.
