Event details:

Come and join this hands-on native seed collection workshop hosted by Local Land Services in partnership with the Lithgow and Districts Community Nursery. The events are held at various locations throughout the Capertee Valley and focus on practical, outdoor learning with participants identifying and collecting native seed in the field.

What you'll learn:

  • Native plant identification skills.

  • Best-practice techniques for collecting native seed from a range of species and vegetation types.

Supporting Local Revegetation:

  • Seed collected during the workshop will be propagated by the nursery.

  • Plants grown from the collected seed will be used in revegetation projects within the valley, including the BirdLife Regent Honeyeater planting project.

  • All tools, equipment and training will be provided. If you have a favourite pair of secateurs, please feel free to bring them.

  • Workshops are fully catered. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
