Event description

NOTE - If you can't make the event we will be sending all attendees a recording of the webinar so make sure you still reserve a ticket.

The Catholic Alliance for People Seeking Asylum would like to invite you to our upcoming webinar ‘A Call to Prayer and Action for Afghanistan’ held during the National Week of Prayer and Action 2021.

As we continue to watch the conflict in Afghanistan unfold, this webinar will be an opportunity for the CAPSA community to come together online to take further action as a part of this campaign. There will be a number of practical actions we will take as a community online during the event to urge our government to take further action for Afghanistan.

This webinar is co-hosted by CAPSA co-conveners Jesuit Social Services and Jesuit Refugee Service Australia. We look forward to welcoming key expert speakers including Shabnam Safa and Zaki Haidari - community leaders from Afghanistan in Australia who will speak to the current situation in Afghanistan and what action the diaspora community is calling for. We will also be joined by Fr Frank Brennan SJ AO.

We hope to see you there so we can stand together in solidarity.

Date: Tuesday, 28 September

Time: 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Location: (online): A Zoom link will be provided before the event.

Cost: Free
