Three musicians and no sheet music — experience a very different jazz with Scott Sanders on piano,
Shane Homan on percussion, and
Voksy Daeché on double bass/viola.

Inspired by GoGo Penguin, Vega Trails and Penguin Café Orchestra among others… you’ll be witnessing the emotional connection each musician brings when the captain sets the course.

Any one of the three can start playing anything and it’s up to the remaining crew to support that journey and help build it into something, anything.

Scott Sanders, Piano

Scott has performed just about every genre of music you could think of, except perhaps country and western or death metal.  Contemporary classical composition and pure improvisation are two of his most favourite musical passions - seemingly opposite worlds brought together in Captain Atmosphere.

Shane Homan, Drums

A professional drummer with various Sydney bands in the 1980s, Shane Homan has since been in everything from 60s covers bands and blues outfits to full rock and roll. Shane enjoys picking apart the seams of jazz, rock and pop to create something new.

Voksy Daeché, Double bass / viola

Voksy is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist with a passion for improvised performance.  His unique combination of influences, including classical, jazz, folk and experimental music, is renowned as a valued member of folk festivals throughout Victoria.
