Career Series - Events & Hospitality

This Career Series youth event with Sandalford & Stringybark introduces students to the fast-paced, people-focused world of events, hospitality, and wine careers. Set across their unique venues, the experience gives young people a feel for what it takes to bring events to life, while also showcasing opportunities within the wine industry, from production through to customer experience.

During the visit, students meet team members from a variety of roles including event coordination, venue operations, food and beverage, and wine-related careers such as cellar door experiences, sales, and marketing. Staff share their career journeys in a friendly and down-to-earth way, helping students see how different skills and interests can lead to a place in the industry.

Overall, the event is designed to be hands-on, engaging, and inspiring. By exploring real venues and hearing directly from industry professionals, students gain a clearer understanding of the wide range of opportunities available and the pathways they can take to get there.

Community bus tickets are limited (20 seats) as the event will be across two locations. The Bus will go from: Bindoon (Shire of Chittering), and Lower Chittering (outside IHC). If you would like to request another pickup location, please contact Rachel for availability (Rachel.Edwardson@chittering.wa.gov.au). Please note catering is not provided, however attendees are welcome to bring food to enjoy on the bus. This event is for ages 13+.
