Share your stories | See your strengths | See what's possible.

Do you remember you?

That person who was capable, respected and confident at work?

The person who knew what they were good at?

Maybe you've lost sight of them.

It happens.

A difficult workplace can chip away at your confidence.

So can months of applying for jobs, hearing nothing back and wondering what’s wrong with you.

Eventually, you can start questioning yourself.

Maybe I'm not as good as I thought I was.
Maybe I don't have much to offer.
Maybe I don't even know what I want anymore.

But here's the thing.

Your strengths haven't disappeared.

You've just lost sight of them.

And it is often other people who can see strengths in us – that we've stopped seeing in ourselves.

That's what happens in a Career Storytelling Lab.

In a small, supportive group, you'll share stories from your career or life.

You don't need to prepare the "right" stories or come up with impressive achievements.

You'll simply tell your stories.

Then something interesting happens.

The group listens for the strengths you may have missed.

You might hear that you're resourceful. A natural problem solver. Someone people trust. A great connector. Calm under pressure. Curious. Brave. Creative.

Maybe you'll hear something you've always known about yourself.

Or maybe you'll hear something that makes you stop and think:

"Oh. I never thought of myself that way."

And that's the catalyst.

You leave with a clearer sense of what you're good at, a renewed sense of confidence and some fresh ideas about where those strengths could take you next.

You may come in wondering what's happened to you.

You may leave seeing possibilities again.

Why are these workshops SO powerful?

Sharing your stories in a small group setting has many tangible benefits.

Many of us have imposter syndrome.

Identifying your stories, then talking these out loud, helps you remember the important points and gain clarity around your strengths.

Being heard can give you confidence that your story is worthy, and that you can own some space to share what’s important.

The group provides a powerful mirror reflecting back what they see in you.

Listening to other people’s stories can help you identify other great stories of your own.

Who is this for?

This is perfect for you if you're a professional:

  • Feeling like you’ve lost or forgotten all the strengths you bring to the table

  • Needing help identifying your transferable strengths/skills – for example you want to change jobs or careers, or return to the workforce

  • Looking for a supportive small group with a positive and optimistic agenda to help you succeed

  • Wanting to feel more comfortable and confident "owning a space and sharing your work stories"

  • Looking to succeed in interviews, performance reviews, salary negotiations or pitches for promotions

  • Looking for achievements, or examples of your impact to put on your resume

What makes this so different?

This is not something that's often offered in the workplace.

When you do your performance review, for example, the feedback you're given can be a reflection of your competency against the requirements of a role - not you the whole person.

These sessions are 100% about bringing out the best in you.

We rarely take the opportunity to pause and reflect on our careers – yet taking this pause and doing some reflection can be the gift that keeps on giving.

When you say things out loud you believe in them more. Once you start to believe in your stories, your brain starts to scan for more examples of where you have demonstrated these strengths.

There's also nothing quite as affirming as the confidence boost you get from another human being believing in you and your stories.
