Mark Bates
My name is Mark, I have worked in the disability sector since 2019. I found my passion for supporting people with a disability after an accident that left me as a left below knee amputee. I have found myself a new normal which after a lot of hard work leaves me with very few limitations. I have found that information and learning is the key to reducing the effects of trauma, PTSD, burnout and personal growth. I am now manager of a mid sized organisation responsible for over 70 participants and 65 workers in Redcliffe. One of my main roles is ensuring staff and participants alike have the resources and ability to debrief when needed to reduce the risk of burnout.
