Carers Connect - 02/03/2027
Description
Practical information, support and conversations for family carers.
Caring for and supporting a family member can mean navigating a lot of different systems, decisions and questions, often without knowing where to start or who to ask.
Carers Connect is a free quarterly information and support day bringing together family carers and organisations, professionals and services that can offer practical guidance.
Throughout each day, you'll hear from a range of guest speakers and take part in relaxed, informative sessions covering topics that matter to carers and families.
Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
Topics will vary at each event and could include:
Benefits and financial support
Finding and accessing care and support
Legal planning and wills
Future planning
Money and financial wellbeing
Bereavement and preparing for change
Carers' rights and available support
Health and wellbeing
Local services and organisations
Opportunities to ask questions and get practical advice
There will usually be four or five speakers or workshops throughout the day, with plenty of time for questions, conversation and connecting with other carers.
Speakers and workshops will be announced closer to the time.

Need support for the person you care for while you attend?
We know that finding alternative support can make it difficult for family carers to attend events.
If the person you support would benefit from somewhere to go while you attend Carers Connect, they may be able to join one of Uppertunity's activities during the day.
Please tell us when booking if you would like to explore this option.
