MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING CONNECT CENTRE - DANDENONG SPRING FAIR BBQ
Eligible families, carers, supporters, kinship and foster carers of people with mental health and/or substance use challenges are invited to take some time out for themselves at this FREE respite event. Relax, enjoy a barbeque lunch and activities, and take the opportunity to connect with like carers who live in your local community.
Description of the event: Carers are invited to celebrate Carers week at a social BBQ lunch, with a Spring Fair theme, at the main site of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect in the South East Metro.
Date: Tuesday 28 October
Time: 12:00pm-2:30pm
Venue: Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect South East Metro, 51 Robinson Street, Dandenong
Type of Event: Families, carers, supporters, kinship and foster carers of people with mental health and or substance use challenges are invited to enjoy a BBQ to celebrate Spring. Activities will include outdoor games, print your own canvas tote bag and plant a seedling.
Take the opportunity to meet the team at the Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect (if you haven't already). Enjoy the BBQ and activities and tour the purpose-built site at Dandenong. Carers can also enjoy time in the massage chair and will have an opportunity to unwind and talk to qualified peer staff on the day.
