Carers Week Pause, Reflect, Create
Description
Carers Week: Pause, Reflect, Create
Muswellbrook Shire Council invites local carers to join us for a special Carers Week celebration focused on taking some time for yourself, getting creative and connecting with others.
National Carers Week is held from 11–17 October 2026 and is a time to recognise and celebrate the important role carers play in our community.
Our celebration will be held on Friday 9th October, with a range of free activities to enjoy.
Sound Bath & Meditation
10:00am–11:00am
With Ananda Sound Meditation
Take some time to slow down, relax and switch off with a calming sound bath and guided meditation.
Limited to 20 places.
Watercolour Creative Session
12:00pm–1:00pm
With Entrée to Arts
Enjoy some quiet creative time and create your own watercolour artwork using the materials provided. No experience is needed — just come along and have a play.
Artwork created during the session may be displayed as part of our Carers Week Library Exhibition the following week.
Limited to 20 places.
Carers Week Afternoon Tea
1:00pm–2:00pm
Everyone is welcome to join us for a relaxed afternoon tea with wraps, fresh fruit, sweet treats, tea and coffee. This is a chance to have a chat, meet other carers and enjoy some time together.
All local carers are welcome.
You can choose to attend the sound bath, the watercolour session, both activities, or simply join us for afternoon tea.
Proudly funded by the NSW Government's 2026 National Carers Week Grants Program.
