Description

ACT Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disabilities are pleased to present A Wellbeing Break for Carers as part of National Carers Week.

This session is for all levels of fitness.

In recognition of Carers Week, we are delighted to be collaborating with Unison Harp Yoga to offer carers a wellbeing break.

Unison Harp Yoga

The harp is ancient instrument with unique acoustic qualities and has long been associated with the healing arts. In each harp yoga session Alison creates music that complements Jo’s yoga sequence to help promote feelings of wellbeing, deep rest, and comfort. Classes are open to all abilities, with gentle flowing yoga sequences and adjustments offered to create an inclusive practice, connecting individuals and community.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You care for someone or have a family member with an intellectual disability

  • You struggle to make time for you

  • You really could do with a pause button

  • You would like to connect with other carers.

This event will include:

A guided relaxation session to stretch your body (suitable for all abilities), supported by the beautiful sounds of harp music.

A light lunch and time for connection with others will be provided.

When: 12.00-2.00 pm, Saturday 17th October 2026.

Where: Pearce Community Centre Hall, Collett Place Pearce.

Please order tickets by COB 15th October
