Q&A:
Am I a Young Carer? Young Carers are people up to the age of 25 years old. They provide unpaid care and support to family member/s, or friends with, a disability, physical or mental illness, a substance dependency or who is aged or frail.
What if I am feeling unwell or my caring role stops me from attending? We understand that caring responsibilities can change unexpectedly, and sometimes people get sick. If you canβt attend, please let the facilitator know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another Young Carer.
Do I have to be registered with Carers QLD to attend this event? Yes. Both the parent/guardian and the Young Carer will need to register with Carers Queensland if a ticket is offered. A staff member will assist with this process closer to the event date.
