Event description

Join us for the Future of Volunteering Forums – Celebrating National Volunteer Week!

Get ready for an informative series of forums happening across Tasmania during National Volunteer Week. We’re bringing together passionate volunteers, volunteer managers, and coordinators to tackle the tough challenges facing the volunteer industry in 2025.

In our May forums, we’re putting a spotlight on Health & Wellbeing. We’ll dive into the support systems that help volunteers make the most of their experience and boost their wellbeing. It's all about ensuring volunteers are well-supported and equipped to thrive in their roles.

These forums are part of our exciting Future of Volunteering project – a fresh initiative aimed at strengthening and growing volunteering across Tasmanian communities. Our goal? To break down the barriers to formal volunteering and help organisations build stronger, more meaningful networks and partnerships.

We’re all about sharing ideas and experiences, so these forums will provide a safe, open space where attendees can discuss health & wellbeing strategies and share support mechanisms that work. By coming together in this collaborative environment, we’ll help each other overcome challenges and elevate the volunteering industry to new heights!

Whether you’re looking to meet new faces, reconnect with familiar ones, or build a network of like-minded people, these forums are the perfect opportunity to make an impact. Let’s support the growth and development of Tasmania's volunteering sector, together.

Our confirmed forum speakers are:

Alicia van Ek –

Alicia’s strategic approach empowers volunteers and drives long-term, successful partnerships.
