Description

Join us for a Yarn on Country in December with the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) G'Local Yarn Hub, Wollongong (Dharawal-speaking Country) on December 7th, 2024, from 7am for a 7:30am start until 8:30am.

As an official IDG hub of the global initiative, Bianca, and Sarah founded the IDG G’Local Yarn Hub as a place-based hub on Dharawal speaking Country, Wollongong.

We look to weave the IDG framework and illuminate with indigenous wisdoms and knowledges locally and globally. By creating space in our busy worlds, to foster our connections, through meaningful conversations -Yarns. We invite you to a like-minded and curious collective, dedicated to re-imagining sustainability and wellbeing from inner to outer transformation. We look to co-create through genuine connections and reawaken the IDG skills, inherently in each of us.

The Inner Development Goals (IDG) global movement. Be a part of a global community re-imagining the way we work, live, and connect. Igniting the innate IDG skill set we all possess, recognising personal development as crucial for our collective journey towards a flourishing world for all.

December's Yarn

We all are aware of the added pressure of the silly season, some of us embrace it, and others avoid it. Bianca Hunt proud Gumbynngirr woman with kinship ties to the Barkinji mob, was raised part of her life on Latji Latji Country, and currently lives and works on Dharawal-speaking Nation and founder of the FLW Connect consultancy will be our guide to self-care through Country weaving through the Inner Development Goals framework.

More about the session

Country is a component of our everyday day, but usually is dismissed as location, place, or a pathway of use, rather than a part of our being. The Illawarra Country is set between mountain and sea, which is culturally significant to our ongoing wellbeing.

Placing Country at our core allows us to reimagine our world’s sustainability and wellbeing and identifies the need to nudge human centric focuses to wider more holistic lens.

This session will enhance your mindset, motivation, and resilience, connecting to the power of Country. The 23 Inner Development Skills across the 5 dimensions are inherently within us all, however our systems and environments we grow in in are not necessarily empowering these skills to be used, let along nurtured or promoted.

Join us on Country to connect your inner skills to assist you during this festive season.

Key take aways from this session include:

  • Enhancing knowledge of Country
  • Harnessing the power of reflection
  • Recognising Grounding for the new year ahead
