About the Book:
Collection of poetry and song lyrics by Detroit rocker Carolyn Striho. Striho's most recent album, Afterthought, was on the GRAMMY(R) Awards 2018 First Ballot for Best Rock Album of the Year. Carolyn has won 11 Detroit Music Awards and a Billboard Magazine Award for her songwriting, albums, musicianship and live performances. Carolyn also has toured overseas six times in Europe, and also had a two-month tour of Japan. She's played many national and international festivals including Lollapalooza, Rome Italy's Donne In Musica, London U.K. Meltdown, and many more.

and poet whose songs are “from the silver edge of midnight (All Music Guide).” Carolyn’s vocal delivery with a rock and roll folk baroque is hypnotizing. She has won 11 Detroit Music Awards.
Carolyn is on The Grammy Awards First Ballot 2025 and was on the First Ballot also in 2024, 2022 and 2018 for Best Americana Performance, Best American Roots Performance, Best Spoken Word Album, Best Rock Album and more.
Carolyn’s toured/worked with poet/rock icon/singer Patti Smith in Detroit and Ann Arbor, Toronto Canada, at Lollapalooza and in London U.K. She’s performed with Don Was/Was (Not Was), Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Slits, Ramones, Iggy Pop, and with Yoko Ono, Steve Earle, Tori Amos, Sinead O'Connor in London. She’s also played several times in Italy and had a two-month residency in Osaka Japan.
Carolyn is featured in the national book “Hit Girls” which in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Revolutionary Women’s Exhibit. There’s a new retrospective with Carolyn’s former Detroit Energy Asylum on Orchide Records which she fronted on vocals with renowned saxophonist Dave McMurray and Grammy/Oscars award-winning keyboardist Luis Resto.
