MILLIE DREAD

with special guest DJ B-Czar

CARRELLEE:“Her latest single, Like A Ghost, drips with eerie allure, as her soft, whispering vocals glide over scorched synths and sharp beats. Think Crystal Castles or The Knife after a hard night out, or Ladytron with a little more edge.”
Post-Punk.com

“Sensual touch to icy European-style dark electropop...deeply electronic in nature, yet also steeped in the organic”
— Analogue Trash

“The record paints in richly saturated tones, evoking a sense of melancholy wrapped in vibrant electronics and moving with elegance through shadows.”
— Destroy//Exist

Carrellee is an ethereal darkwave artist from Madison, Wisconsin (US) whose "dark and sultry" sound bridges shimmering synth-pop, haunting dream-pop and dark, danceable noir. She has drawn comparisons to Cocteau Twins, Kate Bush and the pulsing allure of Italo-disco.

A former folk musician, she has spent the last four years building a distinctive presence in the underground electronic scene. Her 2022 debut Scale of Dreams (Negative Gain Productions) sold out its initial pressing and was quickly repressed on No Coast Records (OH SEES, Patriarchy). Described by Analogue Trash as "deeply electronic in nature, yet also steeped in the organic," the album launched a relentless touring schedule of nearly 100 US dates in 2023 alone. This included appearances at Coldwaves Festival (Chicago) and Verboden Festival (Vancouver), and NYC’s legendary venue St. Vitus for a Synthicide event before its closure.

That same year she released Rescaled, a remix album featuring reworks from Patriarchy, Bestial Mouths, Casket Cassette, ESA, and Jeff Schroeder (ex-Smashing Pumpkins). Her 2025 self-titled sophomore album on Germany's Young & Cold Records (Twin Tribes) marked another shift in her sound. Mixed by Maurizio Baggio (Boy Harsher, Sextile, Nuovo Testamento, The Soft Moon), mastered by Josh Bonati (Slowdive, Drab Majesty), with additional production from Matia Simovich (Riki, Patriarchy) and Ryan McCambridge (IAMX), the record expanded her palette and following, bringing a "sensual touch to icy European-style dark electropop” that blurs the line between the dance floor and the abyss (Analogue Trash). It included break-out single "Captain," which has surpassed 1.4 million streams on Spotify.

The album charted in the top 10 of the Deutsche Alternative Charts and earned radio play on KEXP. Post-Punk.com describes the album as having an "eerie allure, as her soft, whispering vocals glide over scorched synths and sharp beats," while Destroy//Exist called it "melancholy, wrapped in vibrant electronics."Carrellee spent 2024–2025 as the backing vocalist/synth player for IAMX during their European and North American tours. She first connected with IAMX when she opened for them across the Midwest in the summer of 2023.

She has also shared stages with Nuovo Testamento, Drab Majesty, ACTORS, Kontravoid, Vision Video, Glass Spells and many more. Recent releases include a collaborative single with My Manifesto, a featured appearance on Bragolin's 2026 album, an official remix of an IAMX track, and a remix EP of her self-titled album that featuring remixes by IAMX, INHALT, Bragolin, Omar Doom, and Brood Faye.

In 2026 she headlined a 30-date US tour, including a return to Verboden Festival. This summer she will appear at Terminus Festival (Calgary) before joining Dutch darkwave artist Bragolin for a co-headlining run across North America in the fall, with confirmed dates at Coldwaves (Chicago). She will then head to Europe in support of Bragolin with dates at Plage Noire (Holstein, Germany), and more to be announced.

Spain's Sturm Promotions put it plainly: "There are artists that grab you from the first listen and Carrellee is one of them. Her songs, loaded with sensitivity, melancholy and beauty, have made her one of the most promising rising stars on the scene today.”
