Carry Me Close: Make a wearable pocket for your phone
Event description
Join contemporary jeweller Louise Hill for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own cross-body pocket bag to carry your phone close. Participants will construct, embellish, and personalise their pockets while exploring the themes behind Louise’s exhibition – pockets as sites of practicality, power, and absence. Together we’ll consider who gets pockets, who doesn’t, and what that says about our histories and identities. Come ready to make, chat, and carry your ideas with you.
What’s provided: All materials and tools needed to create your take-home pocket bag.
What to bring: Any ideas or embellishments you’d like to incorporate into your design.
