Join Cascadence (modern jazz and experimental strings) and Chelsea Reed (world-class jazz vocalist) for a night of music at Fallser! You'll hear exciting original compositions and jazz interpretations, both classic and new. Additionally, the program will begin with a performance by local student-jazz musicians!

Cascadence is Sara Caswell (violin), Chris Coyle (double bass) and Matt Davis (guitar).
Weaving through the sounds and traditions of chamber music, modern jazz, and experimental folk, these three dynamic composer-improvisers offer a unique and heartfelt example of music for "strings trio". Caswell has long been a sought-after violinist and collaborator, working with the likes of Chris Potter, Brian Blade, and David Byrne; Davis has led numerous projects (notably Aerial Photograph) combining string quartet and large jazz ensemble lineups; Coyle is an omnivore of Jazz and New Music concepts, with a passion for serving varied, ambitious roles on the bass
Chelsea Reed
Chelsea Reed is a jazz vocalist, arranger, composer, bandleader, and educator based in Philadelphia. With a penchant for 20th century swing and blues music, Reed founded Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Band in October 2012. They have gone on to record five albums and tour around the world playing for swing and blues dancers, sharing the stage with artists like Wycliffe Gordon, Terell Stafford, and Dick Oatts. Beyond the Fair Weather Band, Reed explores the many nuances of the jazz genre in duo, trio, quartet and big band form. She is the featured vocalist with the Jack Saint Clair Orchestra and Josh Lee and the Extended Family. She currently teaches Jazz History and Performance at Temple University's Boyer College of Music.

By Car or By Train
The East Falls Train Station is a short walk from the Fallser Club. Parking in East Falls is no problem! There is ample free on-street parking near the East Falls train station driveway at 3610 Midvale Ave and a paid municipal lot three blocks away at 4100 Ridge Ave. Midvale Ave and Ridge Ave are both well-lit!
